Why do I choose to vehemently defend Wenger throughout the pages and comments on my blog?

Quite simply because the man has set this club up for the next 100 years, and time will absolutely show this to be a FACT.

My main reason to blog is for me to record a timeline of my personal views and opinions, and to one day reflect upon them with my Grandchildren, who are many years away from birth.

They will be Gooners, regardless of who either of their parents supports, they will be Gooners, I will makes sure of that.

Also, I am convinced they will be Gooners because we shall be the biggest club in the land by some stretch by the time they come to being born into this world.

Arsenal will be the club of choice for every Glory hunting kid in the years and decades to come.

Only then will I be in a position, to ask them to go back to Circa 2009 and read my blog, and other blogs that last with Archives stretching back to said period.

They will then realise, in the midst of much derision from so-called Goons and the wider media of the time…  what us true believers went through, and how we rode the storm of merciless anti-arsenal crusaders, who choose to throw mud at the club during a huge time of transition.

Of course, the anti-mob, will be telling their grandchildren about the staunch support they always showed the club through the transitional years 😉

Arsenal Football Club is in the blood for life, a true believer can see the glorious backbone and foundations the club have been given by Wenger’s stewardship, par excellence, throughout these fabled “lean years”.

These years will be talked about with much laughter and jovialness in the times to come, people will ask why was there anything to worry about?  It was obvious where the future of the club was headed etc etc.

Only a timeline of views and deep rooted feelings from the period will hold sway when pontificating a true belief in the wonder years to come.

Naturally, many will have to change nome de plumes on the www, that shame of being such mental lightweights, and two-faced bigots, will nonetheless haunt their support of the club for eternity.

I think we are roughly the same age, Im am from South Wales but was raised in London. I still have a key ring photo book of the Double Winning side of George, Wilson, Graham et al.

I applaud your sentiments and even though these years have been ‘lean’ I would much rather watch The Gunners, then any other on the planet.

By the way am I the only one that thinks that in the latest Star Trek movie, Spock looks like Cesc? All the best G

i truly respect the way you support arsenal football club.

i am a younger supporter, but it’s still hard for me too understand the views of so many feeble minded fans.

i can relate to almost all your views and even as a canadian supporter i only hope to keep my wits and support arsenal properly, like yourself, well into my life.

from now on, i’ll be a regular reader, if not contributor

I’m a Gooner of 50 years standing that spreads himself between my ancestoral home in highbury and my new home in southern Spain.

Those of us that stood on the terraces in the barren 60’s and proudly remember watching on a balmy night before just 1970 when we won our 1st silver wear in an age.

Those of us that rejoiced and proudly chanted 1 nil to the Arsenal when GG did what he did with minimal resorces.

Those of us that have come from those times and seen the Wenger revolution know how far he’s taken not only our football but the whole club. Arsene is on the road to do for Arsenal what the great Croyff did and continues to do for Barca.

Those of us that know that he wants to move us from a local London club to a world super club. That he does this in the style and manner he does is to his great credit. He’s a developer not a buyer of great talent.

This old Gooner from an old Gooner family salutes your blogs aims in supporting not just the greatest manager our club has even known, but the creator of a revolution a revolution that will become like the industrial revolution unstoppable sweeping all before it. For who after the Wenger revolution could return to the old ways.
Who amongst us Gooners could ever want anything other than the free flowing football of Arsene Wenger?

The Genie is out of the bottle we’ll never be able to get him back in. GG’s 1 nil style is part of our history and it will always remain thus, because even GG’s style in a modern form A La Mourinho wouldn’t suit most of us any more.

We’ve been given the blue print by the architect now all future building needs to be done in strict accordance with those plans. Gooners want it thus!

Thank you Flying Spaghetti Monster for delivering unto me an Arsenal Blog of reasonable and measured thought, a life raft of sanity in a torrential sea of reactionaryism. Keep up the good fight brother or sister.
