Nasri and Cesc will both be sold this Summer
July 28, 2011
This is my firm belief, as I don’t for one minute believe the “clever” talk directed from the lips of Arsene Wenger.
He needs to sign replacements for the Spaniard and Frenchman along with bolstering the defence, and he won’t add genuine world-class players to the squad if they believe both players will be sold.
It’s common knowledge that Cesc will go this Summer, his faked injury from the back-end of last season was about the clearest indicator you will ever see that he no longer wants to fight for us. He accepted it last Summer, and when fit did certainly put the work in for us, but as soon as the season died… so did his love and fight for the Arsenal. Gone.
With Nasri it seems more up in the air – if you were to believe what Wenger is telling us…. YOU WHAT? Pass up 25M in a transfer fee from Manchester City and pay him another season of wages, whilst he mopes around putting in zero effort? You would need to be very silly to buy that one. Gone.
Barcelona and Manchester City will 100% be the buyers of these players.
I am enjoying all the hype talk surrounding the signing of Spaniard Juan Mata – he would fit in perfectly. I expressed a view on Twitter around 2 months ago that we would break both our outgoing and incoming transfer records this Summer. My confidence in this grows by the day.
Having immensely weird feelings of mega confidence with regards to how next season will go for us, every time I think of Jack Wilshere and Aaron Ramsey lining up in the centre of the park with another season wiser Alex Song backing them up, makes me think a lot of motor mouths who have knocked us and continue to knock us will be mostly quiet come the opening months of the season.
Can’t wait for Newcastle away.
