Do you think Van Persie will start tonight?

November 30, 2010

I’m not too sure he will, and that we shall probably see Nik Bendtner get a start flanked by Theo down the right.

You could not over-estimate how important winning the League Cup is for this generation of Arsenal players, it’s basically the be all and end all right now.

A more simpler chance of silverware won’t be forthcoming, if ever!

West Ham may have a surprise or two in store for United if they can nick the first goal, if they let the northern hoodlums get their noses in front then it could be 4 nil defeat.

Got a feeling that game will produce some real drama, and SKY may have picked up the right one.

Wigan are gash, they cannot defend, they have no real hard men in their side and this should make the task a simple one… BUT….

we are at home, against a side we should demolish, etc.

Winning cup games is all about the first goal, score the first, and your chances of winning are in the late 80 per cents.

Not got a clue what kind of line-up the boss has out tonight, but I would imagine Kos and Djourou will form the central defensive partnership with Denilson or Eastmond, maybe both, sitting in front.

I would start with one of Nasri or Rosicky to provide the spark to get ourselves the early goal, and then take them off, as opposed to bring ing them on.

Unlike the game over in East London tonight, I don’t expect the same level of drama.

Which may not be the worst thing in the world right now, a calm, professional, reassured, mature display is the order of the day.

A very wintery day in London today, plenty of snow where I live on the South side of the Thames, and arctic conditions are expected for all 44 players who play in the League Cup tonight in the Capital.

Rather them than me.

    Not a chance in hell.
Wenger and his over cautious ways!
Holland played him 2 weeks ago no problem!
    He’ll probably get 20 minutes

And this time they were able to clamp down defensively in the third period to protect a late lead. In their first game back home after a five-game road trip in which they went 1-1-3 and lost several third period leads the Stars ended Detroits four-game winning streak and moved into an eighth-place tie with the Red Wings in the Western Conference standings in the process.
