Gallas was hated at Arsenal

September 16, 2010

Have you noticed the difference in the team morale this season?

I certainly have, they all celebrate together, no big sulksters mooching around playing for themselves.

No bawling at your left-back and killing his confidence.

Gallas was a liabilty, he might have been a handy defender, but was he not at the heart of the defence that leaked all those goals?

So how good was he exactly?

He was detested at the club, ever since Brum 08, he has not been liked by the main men… i.e Cesc, RvP and Toure at the time.

Wenger was right to flog Kolo, his game looked dead, and nothing he has done at City disproves this fact, but do not for one minute think Wenger chose Gallas over Toure in the personality stakes.

Gallas was a totally disruptive Chavski melon, end of story.

I was delighted he left the club this Summer, and hope to dear god he has an awful season with the pikeys down the poor end of town.

In Kos and Squil, we have a pair of hungry, determined, and team friendly players who will help to unify the spirit at the club, and certainly help to increase communication at the back.

The reason there was no communication in the past is simple… nobody wanted to talk to Gallas, in any shape or form.

Good bleeding riddance, and a warm welcom to the fabulous new pair of defenders at the club.

I think by just looking at Verm,Kosh,Squilli and Djourou U can easily see that they are well disciplined on and off the pitch. So,its good for the whole team to feel confidence and good abt everone

I agree. Our defence looks a lot fresher now. We have shafted deadwood like Silvestre and Senderos, and rid ourselves of the disruptive influence of Gallas. It would have been nice if Campbell had hung around for another season as emergency cover, but hey, can’t have it all. Very impressed with our new-look defence; they still haven’t gelled completely but given time I think they’ll be tremendous.

Couldn’t agree more. I hated the way he used to give evil eyes to young players like Gibbs when they made mistakes rather than taking them under his wing and giving them the encouragement they need from his vast experience. It also used to wind me up when he would burst upfield looking for a goal to then spend the next 10 minutes jogging back into position leaving us exposed in defence and song having to cover for him. I recall one incident where he didn’t get a decision, spent 15 seconds giving the linesman a hard time only for the player he claimed fouled him to run past him whilst he was still arguing, pick the ball up from the resulting throw and get a shot in on goal. Could’ve cost us. Lucky for Gallas it didn’t. Good riddance to Chelski scum.

last year whenever TV5 missed a game I was dreading at what might happen but somehow that feeling has gone this season. I know kos still is not finished yet but from what i have seen I am full of confidence and do not worry if I see kos and squalichi as our CB paring, except for of course righting, pronouncing their names

  6. and also… what kind of pilchard CB wears the number 10 shirt?

    a fecking cocksucking one.

I also think Gallas gave us the “whinging” status also…every single little thing that wasn’t to his liking with the team or that game or the opposition he would sulk, mouth off or even worst case scenario sit on his own in the middle of the pitch in protest.

I always used to think what a snivelling little man, yeah he can really stab a person with his comments etc but when it came to it he was nothing more than a gutless snivelling bad-mouthing nasty piece of work which was more concerned in poaching goals than his primary job!!

Bang on! Gallas was a primo-pratt the moment he demanded the No.10 shirt!

But on a day after the night before, let’s fuck Gallas and talk about the Cesc Pistol, The Jacky-Boy, and the Chamakh-attack! Utter Utter Class!!!

The Chavs have played no-one so far this season compared to our fixtures. We’re gonna tear’em apart this season!

@ mug above!! We will just wait and see how long it will take for him to **** you over in defence galavanting forward trying to score and leaving you thread bare…..and also how long before he starts causing problems in your team. He ain’t established at the spuds yet, but as soon as he settles in he will start trying to run the show and show his true colours………you have been WARNED!!

and the Kosmeister is better than any defender you have…and don’t talk about Ledley the crock King, what is the point of having him if he is only fit for 5 games a season and only performs in 1 of them……..and you call us mugs?

  16. New York Gooner said

Mug – Sorry but Kosceinly is already a far better defender than any at spurs, and will only get better.

    He is only 24.

You will see a much better Almunia this season now he is gone. It was an open secret they hated each other.

I was well pissed when got him in the first place. I know he’s/was a good player but……never “really” replicated it for us. He would show signs but, sorry not for me.

Feeling confident about this season (not blinkered fan vision) we are not boys anymore!! Squill looks solid and will be a great addition.

GOONERS……..ps the spuds are welcome to the moany bitch flup 🙂

    Yup,
I always hated the headless Chicken who wore the legendary no:10 and stood at the back causing a disruptive influence…

    Good riddance indeed….

Almunia and Fabianskis were seriously damaged by this SOB.

Lets hope he produce his best and make lose all Spuds confidence.
St.Totteringham is far more earlier with Gallas at ShitHartLAne.

  24. 10K Lakes Gooner said

Here, here! Notice that Almumia is playing better and appears more confident this season as well? Coincidence? I think not!

I agree about Gallas. I never liked him from the start because he demanded 80K a week for a CB new to the club, putting him on higher wages than everyone except for Henry. And Arsenal couldn’t do anything about it because Chelsea had tapped up Cashley and we got stuck with Gallas.

Even though he was a very good athlete and put in good performances now and then, Gallas was prone to make the odd mistake in zonal marking or lack thereof and it would cost us now and then.

I disagree somewhat about Kolo. He is doing alright at Man City, and really he is more than capable when paired with a strong, taller CB like he was with Sol Campbell.
